Schedule of VET Tuition Fees

This schedule sets out the units of study in which eligible students may request VET FEE-HELP assistance to pay for some or all of their tuition fees. Students wishing to access VET FEE-HELP assistance are invited to discuss their eligibility with the staff at the Information Office at any Community Training Australia campus.

Important dates

 

Period over which units are undertaken - All units of study listed in this schedule are undertaken in 2012. For course outline and nominal duration refer to course details under the Course Catagory’s on the Community Training Australia website.

 

Census Dates

A census date for a unit of study is the closing date for a student to apply for VET FEE-HELP assistance and the date a student incurs a VET FEE-HELP debt (the tuition fees) for the unit undertaken. The census date is set by the VET provider (CTA) for each unit of study it provides or intends to provide during a year and can be no earlier than 20 per cent of the way through a unit of study. The period of time during which the unit of study is undertaken should include any normal study breaks, assessment or examination periods (except supplementary examinations as these are not normally undertaken by all the students in the unit of study). If a provider does not know the date for the final examination for a unit, the last day of the examination period is to be used as the end of the study period. If a unit does not include a final examination, an examination period should not be included. Important information about fees

Fees are calculated according to study load. The tuition fees for a Full-Fee Place in units of study delivered in 2012 are fixed at the rate published in this schedule. Students who wish to apply for recognition of skills acquired through work or life experiences, or through qualifications obtained through formal studies or training, must enrol and pay fees as normal.
